If want to make your holidays special, then You’d be best staying in a hotel on Istanbul’s historic Sultanahmet Peninsula that have a great range, including cheap Istanbul hotels, mid-priced hotels and luxury hotels.

Hi Nuno, My pleasure. You guys know how to use Social Media for sure and I thought you should feature there.

Hi Guillaume,

In fact, Twitter is becoming more and more a direct communication channel for us, at Tiara Hotels & Resorts.

Apart from this example, @splendiahotels are as well a pretty good example of how twitter should or can be used by hoteliers. Really interventive, participating and engaging.

Once again, a big thank you for refering Tiara Hotels & Resorts :)

Cheers,

Twitters can be used in multiple ways with different perspectives. People have started to use them as the common platform for information transfer but still many probable uses are waiting to be popular among the common people. The data and information collected through twitter is more reliable.

We agree that we are just at the beginning of how people use Twitter. It has been a great tool for our properties to connect with folks who share our interests and to provide timely advice to travellers who are coming to Nova Scotia. We also agree with Rajul that the the independent hoteliers are "getting it" on Twitter better than the big brands. As for the reason, we feel it is largely because Twitter is a relationship medium and smaller hotels have a more natural affinity to this means of communication.

Guillaume, I totally agree with you.

Running a hotel blog myself, I've been using Twitter to connect with hotels I want to feature, as well as to inform companies I've linked to them. It's faster and easier than digging out an email address, logging into my email, composing an email, etc.

I'm surprised however that so few hotels and especially brands are proactively and engagingly making use of Twitter. There's a great opportunity there to build a distinctive brand personality and I wonder why they're not addressing the challenge.

From what I've seen, independent hoteliers are "getting it" on Twitter better than big brands.
