Excellent video Guillaume. I love the idea of video comments too.
I agree with you about choosing the most recent comments, not comments from 2006, when your travelling in 2008.
Hopefully sites like Trip Advisor are listening to us and will look at the profiling which I think is important to improve user generated content.

I very rarely use the reviews as my sole decision maker. I rely on brand name and location as well. I also listen to the property representative on the other end of the line(if possible), if they sound disinterested or gruff then I know that is not the property for me. But in the end you really may never know until you get there.

As a review website, my point shall be a little biased...
Agree with Debo : it's not only reviews, it's the whole thing : photos, maps and more. I guess the more information you have the better it gets...otherwise, who will you trust : the OTA ?
