As promised, find below the updated ranking of Travel / Hospitality blog ranking according to Technorati criteria. This ranking was made of data taken from Friday 23rd Nov 07.
You can see the symbol H in pink on the left side
to feature blogs which are mainly Hospitality related. The country flag represents the language mainly used by the blogger(s). And the arrow -
up or down - to follow the ranking compared to last month according to
the Technorati Authority. I have also added the last ranking of July 07 so you can follow if your blog has gone up or down and who has taken your place.
8 blogs have been added to the ranking (thanks to your submissions in July):
ADV Italia
El Blog de Juan Sobejano
Todo Sobre Safaris
Intermundial
Locura Viajes
Top Rural
Dimitrios Journeys
Hotel Warrior
To our disappointment ( and I can't really explain this) most of our blogs have been down in the ranking. Only 7 blogs have improved their ranking. Not sure what's going on at Technorati. I still wonder the validity of the results. But to my knowledge, there is no other way to rank blogs (or is it?).
Top 10 blogs are mainly collaborative blogs with exceptions like Les Explorers written by Claude Benard, UpgradeTravelBetter by Mark Ashley or Blog de Viajes by Jorge Gobbi.
Finally, I am still surprised to see corporate blogs way way down the ranking like Window Seat or Thomson Blog. Does that mean these blogs don't get traffic? I am sure they are getting some good traffic if they are linked correctly on companies main websites. Again Technorati doesn't measure traffic but how blogs are linked to each other.
If you have comments on how to improve this ranking, let me know. Again, if i have missed your blog, submit it on the comments box.
Click on the picture to make it bigger and more readable.

Nice work Guillaume!
I think Technorati ranking is very much like the Alexa web ranking, in that its not reliable data, and is used more for 'bragging rights'
The top 100 Technorati ranked blogs though I reckon are very high profile blogs, and probably deserve that status.
Did anyone notice how many sites out of the top 10 promote Technorati either within tags, or badges?

Great Job Guillaume,
One reason of the downfal in ranking is that Technorati only counts the inbound links of the last 180 days. The short T-List spike occurred in March pushed our numbers then and caused the dwindle later.
Another reason is that some of us are sometimes subject to content scraping Blogs that on a regular basis are flushed by technorati.
If I look at my ranking at http://technorati.com/blogs/www.happyhotelier.com?reactions , you see a scraper like Art Blog and similar scrapers from mediadistricts.com,
If I look at your ranking I see, well what do I see two rankings for Hotels Blog
This: http://technorati.com/blogs/www.hotel-blogs.com%2Fguillaume_thevenot?reactions
and this:
http://technorati.com/blogs/www.hotel-blogs.com?reactions
And I see a scraper like for instance Travel-Hotels

I feel good about Blog on Travel's ranking as it's going up!
A solution vs content scrapers: Just link to your own blog, and they'll link to you as well!
Nice job Guillaume.

Nobody know yet where it is located, which it makes my blog even more interesting because the comments help my parents to build the perfect hotel created on demmand.

Hello!
Since it seems that everybody can add their own blogs here I will also do it myself! My blog is http://bert29.blogspot.com, is written in catalan, and mainly talks about my life in Norway and Australia, and the trips I have been taking around the world these last 2 years.
Thank you very much!

Also consider the site specifically for travel insurance issues, which every traveller must contend with. It encompasses great advice, and articles on the matter:

Hi Tutyana,
I may re launch this list but not sure how relevant is Technorati these days. Maybe I should do this list according to RSS readers but not every blogger share this information on their website though.
