Unofficial Travel / Hospitality Blogs ranking - July 07...
I know a lot of you have been expecting this new updated ranking (private joke between Darren and I).
I have added some new stuff in it.
You can see the symbol H in pink to feature blogs which are mainly Hospitality related. The country flag represents the language mainly used by the blogger(s). And the arrow - up or down - to follow the ranking compared to last month according to the Technorati Authority (data were taken from 16th July 2007)
3 new blogs have made the list this month:
McCluskey Blog
Web 2.0 Travel Tools blog
Brave New Traveler
Without any surprise, the top 6 blogs are still collaborative and will remain I am sure next month.
The first hospitality blog is HotelChatter (I still wonder who is going to acquire this blog...).
The first "Corporate" blog is Bill Marriott' s On The Move at #8 but the others like HotelBook / Utell, Thomson and Travelocity's The Window Seat are way down the ranking (#45, #47and #51 respectively).
Any suggestions with new blogs I haven't listed are welcome. Enjoy...

I discovered bravenewtraveler.com lately. I was about to submit it . It's a blog we have missed although it has a lot of audience. Nice ranking.
Maybe you should add my friends from Italia: http://www.advitalia.org/dblog/ They would push travelocity out of your ranking though!

Although Absolut BCN is not a "typical travel blog" it is an interesting metroblog about Barcelona City (www.absolutbcn.com). It could be really interesting to create a ranking of the most popular metroblogs in the world.

Thanks for the good work Guillaume.
@Darren:
Technorati only counts the last 180 days or so. So when there was a surge in the linking to your site some 180 days ago, there will be a similar drop about 180 days later.
Hehe:
From that point of view the T-List should be kept alive if only to renew the referrals and technorati ranking:-)

Hi HappyHotelier, it seems we have parallel lifes as we got same rank and authority.
I didn't know that technoraty only takes the last 180 days on consideration. Good point. Thank you.
Guillaume, thank you very much for this ranking. I encourage you to keep doing it.
Regards,
Albert Barra

Hello Guillaume,
Excuse me but, how do you make the ranking? I'm surprised because some blogs which appear on it have authority 10 or less.
Thank you

Ciao Guillaume,
maybe for the next ranking you can add http://www.advitalia.org the blog of italian travel agent.
Kind regards

Please have a look to our blog about rural tourism:
- in Spanish: http://blog.toprural.com/
(technorati authority = 21, rank 308.000)
- in French, Portuguese or Catalan (with a quite lower authority): http://fr.blog.toprural.com/
http://pt.blog.toprural.com/
http://ca.blog.toprural.com/
These are corporate blogs of our company (toprural.com), about rural tourism in Spain, France and Portugal. I hope we can step in your ranking at some time in the future ;)
