UPDATED - Unofficial Travel / Hospitality Blogs ranking - June 07...
UPDATE: since the travel Spanish community felt a bit sidelined with this ranking, I have added blogs mentionned on the comments which I felt deserve to be there according to their "authority". I hope I won't get the Japanese community as well as I don't read Japanese at all...
Four months have passed since I have shared with you the "unofficial" travel / hospitality blogs rankings according to Technorati, the leading blogs search engine. The last update was February which is available here.
Now is the time to have a look at what happened in the travelosphere and which blogs get the attention in the digital world.
I have added this stamp
alongside blogs which are collaborative.
Interesting to note that when blogs are collaborative, the authority (meaning how succesful and popular blogs are) is much higher than individual blogs. Posts might be more frequent and the information is heavier.
The "Authority" is something new that Technorati has implemented since May 07. If you need more explanation about how this is measured, read this.
I still need to organize these blogs in different categories.
Please feel free to circulate this new ranking (and don't forget to mention Hotel Blogs please, it took quite a while to produce this).

Come on... if more people claim their real rank I will be out of the list.
It is a great idea Guillaume.
Congratulations,
Albert

Great Idea Guillaume!
Any idea how you can make spreadsheets on a blog page or xml sheets? Then you could make several rankings. Alexa and Del.icio.us for instance.
Also see the Travel list of Blogtopsites......

Another thought, another tack:
The 12 hundred and something authority for Gridskipper is wonderful. However there is a single lady authored blog, not related to travel: http://designsponge.blogspot.com/ that I happen to read occasionally that has double
the Gridskipper authority of 2,514. So isn't all relative?

Just a thought Guillaume:
If you mix all languages in the same ranking it will be useful for the bloggers; if you create different rankings (according to the language)it will be helpful for your audience (and bloggers too).
What do you think? A lot of work, I know.. :)
