My 5th interview was conducted with Esther Baruchet, Founder of the French blog Trouvtoo-Voyages.
1/ For how long have you been blogging?
I
have been blogging for about 8 months now (my first post on the
Trouvtoo-Voyages website was on the 26th October 2005)
2/
What is your blog about?
My blog covers my different findings whether they are good or bad, about travel, restaurants, hotels and entrepreneurship…
3/
What is your blogging platform and why did you choose it?
I
am using Typepad because after reviewing all blogs platforms, Typepad seemed to
me the obvious and easy one to choose from. And I am not a technical person…
4/
Your top 3 hotels you have stayed in (name, city, country)
I
have stayed in very nice hotels because I am always careful when I book
accomodations. A hotel without soul can ruin my stay even if the landscape or
the city is beautiful. I have been used since my childhood to appreciate luxury
hotels (Thank you Dad !)
3
Hotels that I particularly like :
A
palace coming from a fairytale: small houses attached together with
private romantic gardens. Long corridors. Comfortable and traditional rooms. A
classy breakfast served with champagne. One of my best memories…
A
converted palace on the border of a canal close to the famous « Place
Saint Marc ». Few spacious rooms well decorated. A large reception room.
All decorated with real antic furniture. A magnificant view on the Venice
canals.
Alongside
canals, a very charming hotel which has huge comfortable suites with a warm
color scheme decoration. The breakfast is luxurious
with smoked salmon, scrambled eggs, home-made bread). A lovely small hotel
located in the perfect spot of Brugges.
5/
Best Hotel related website
I
very much like using Ratestogo.com, even though I tend to book direct with the
hotels. It’s a user friendly site which shows a lot of pictures, real time
availability, guest reviews and interesting negotiated rates.
Thanks for your time Esther and all the best for Trouvtoo-Voyages.
